Sometimes I reminisce about my old life, pre-my free-range biz

I like to take a lil moment to revel in the deliciousness of no longer having to crowbar 2 exhausted kids out of bed at ‘oh-my-god-please-no’ o’clock every day, white-knuckle the 1-2 hour commute, 2 school drop-offs, 1 anxious kid, 3 stressed out workmates, 80 urgent emails, and a d1ckhead in a meeting.

(did you sing that last bit? 🐦🍐🎄)

Quit school ✔

Couldn’t see the point.

Quit nursing school
after 3 days ✔

Bed-making lessons? Neeeew *(nurses are amazing and incredible, I’m not cut out to be one… also I think it was pre-nursing school)

Quit my hometown
at 19 ✔

Flew all the way to the other side of the planet on my own - cried the whole way ✈ 😭 (sometimes the price of adventure is sacrificing young love 💔)

Quit a destructive
relationship ✔

and my London life of 5 years and went backpacking around India for 3 months ✈🌎🎉 - NO crying on that flight, best time ever!

Quit my corporate job ✔

Quit sending my kid
to school ✔

(Didn’t ‘teach’ him at all, just stole his screens, sent him outside, took him on learning adventures - my version of unschooling)

Y’know, the usual shit that sounds impressive, but in reality, vampires your time and energy, steals you away from your own life, and ultimately, feels futile and meaningless.

    💰 You can do six figure deals in jeans and bare feet (can get married in them too).
